Hockey

For PE this term, we have be learning hockey. We've been learning how to use the skills required in order to be successful at the sport. From passing, attacking, defending and shooting, we learnt it all. The children finished the unit by playing some competitive games. It was great watching some children understand how important team work was in order to win.

The End of Varjak Paw!

Don't worry, this isn't a spoiler on how the book ends, but more to tell you that we have had to finish our book, The Outlaw Varjak Paw. For several weeks, in whole class reading, we have been enjoying the Varjak Paw book every morning. We've had surprises, laughs, tears, twists and turns, but it unfortunately had to come to an end. Ask your children about who Varjak Paw is or what they think of Sally Bones and they're sure to give you an enthusiastic response! We will be reading Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo next term.
