To reward the children for working so hard during their SATs week, they were treated to a sleepover at school. They had several games to play which, as you can see, got out of hand very quickly - they ended with the children (and the adults) soaking wet. After being fed and watered (literally), the children then made their way to their rooms to watch a film and to hide the fact that they were still awake from the adults.

Tzatziki
To help with our writing on instruction texts, the children made their own tzatziki dip. Tzatziki is a famous cucumber and yoghurt based dip which is popular in Greece. The children were provided with the ingredients and had to follow the instructions carefully. This included the children grating the cucumber, squeezing it, chopping and other processes in order to make the delicious condiment.
After 'stinking-out' the hall with garlic, there was only one thing that the children had in mind: EATING IT! Most of the children loved their dips and were enthusiastic to take the recipes home so that they didn't have to share.

Be Internet Legends
Representatives for Google visited our school, with local MP, Luke Pollard, in order to speak to the children about E-Safety. Using 'Interland' to help them, our visitors reminded us how to use strong passwords and what information is and isn't right to share. It was a really fun way to pass on a really important point.
