Henry VIII portraits

Many of King Henry VIII's portraits were painted by Hans Holbein the younger. The children attempted to copy some of his work by using either watercolours or acrylic paint. They looked at the different strokes needed to create different effects on Henry VIII's face. You'll see our finished artwork on the blog soon.

Tudor Roses

In our class, we are currently learning about the Tudors. When Henry VII won the War of the Roses, he created the Tudor Rose. The children created this by using stencils of the different parts of the Tudor Rose. They had to be careful to line everything up so that the final design was perfect. The results were amazing!
