With Mrs Burt, the children had to plan their own bridges in a team and then work together to construct them. Their challenge was to see which bridge could hold the most weight. Some bridges could hold one hundred pennies, while some could only hold four!

Bridge Building
For our topic on inventors and explorers, we looked at Isambard Kingdom Brunel who was a famous engineer. He was responsible for the Royal Albert Bridge which connects Plymouth to Saltash.

Sprint Concert 2019
We sang as a part of our annual Spring Concert event. This year, our theme was around saving the environment. Year 6 performed songs on environmental issues to their family members. They did a fantastic job with the help of David Haines and the South Devon Choir.

World Book Day 2019
As a part of World Book Day, the theme was 'share a story'. To celebrate this, the Year 6s shared stories from our library with the Foundation children. It was a great opportunity to watch how caring and considerate the older children were with the newer members of our school.
