As a part of our Spring Celebration event, the children sang to their parents. The songs were linked to our topics and were all written by David Haines. They were about morse code, Charles Darwin and Robert Scott (created at Ford Primary School). The children were incredible and put on a real professional performance.

Snow Day
A rare event happened in Plymouth the other week...it snowed! It started with a few flakes falling to a mini-blizzard in the space of 20 minutes. The children loved the opportunity to play in the snow, but quickly discovered that it hurts after a while due to how cold it was!
The remaining children in Cedar Class made the most of the snow by taking part in mini science experiments. The children quickly became attached to their snowmen, but they didn't last long.

Big Bang @ City College Plymouth
Cedar Class were invited to City College Plymouth to take part in the Big Bang event. The day involved focussing on STEM subjects. Children had free reign at a range of activities from different employers. They had the opportunity to use VR; use a segway; apply their maths with plumbing; have a go with a green screen; take part in fitness tests; contribute to science tests and many more activities. We later had Babcock speak to the class on how submarines work. Children had the opportunity to experiment with medical equipment later in the day.
